I am so excited to announce the latest delivery from Inverallan.

Three items (Cap, scarf, and crew neck sweater), two colours (Dark indigo blue and Black indigo) are available.

As a denim company, we particularly chosen indigo cotton yarns (100% pure cotton and the threads are manufactured/rope indigo dyed in Lancashire England) to create something special for Allevol.

The weight of this item is almost 2kg (around 1.7kg for Small size) and it is well made.

The number of items are extremely limited. So if you are interested, please keep eye on our site.

15years no wash

15years no wash… The thing is how often has it been worn…?
１５年間洗ってないそうです、、、。　でも、どの位頻繁に着ているのでしょうか？　１日３０分を２ヶ月に一回の割合とかだったら、そんなに着てないですよね？　凄く良い色してます。

 

Back in UK

Everyone I know in UK asked me if I was ok staying in Japan more than 20days…. Yes it was ok..

Needless to say, it was one of the most difficult moment for Japanese due to the Tsunami and the radiation.

To be quite honest, I was quite worried to be there, but my concerns were disappeared as soon as I was there (as I knew I couldn’t do anything anyway…).

So, the last 3weeks was extremely enjoyable for me. As I wrote, I was in Okayama for a couple of days, visiting my manufacturers, suppliers, etc. Although there is nothing new out there, it’s always nice to catch up with those people who are involved in your work (mostly drinking in the night…).

I was also in Tokyo for conducting a few interviews with Japanese brands owners (this is the side projects that I’m into). Again, I felt the power of this city, and would like to have only shop here for sure… (yes, it’s just a wish…)

Anyway, I would need to de-clutter pictures I took in Japan. When I have time, I will update here…

２０日以上も日本に帰ったのはイギリスに来てから初めてでした。

地震・津波・原発問題と日本人にとってとても難しい時期だったでしょうが、、、。

正直言って、僕もかなり不安をもっての帰国でした。でも、着いたとたん、その不安はどっかに消えてました　（っていうか、ついたらもうどうしようもないですからね）。

とにかく、日本の３週間はとても良かったです。岡山で数日過ごしたんですが、実際にジーンズを生産している所でモノを見るのは、いつも新鮮です。　多分、ここよりもモノをよく生産できるところは、多分日本ではないでしょう、、、。

Luckily I don’t have as bad jet-rug as I got when I was in Japan, but still feel really heavy (in fact I put 6kg)…

ラッキーな事に、時差ぼけも少ないんですが、ちょっと体が重く感じます　（っていうか、３週間前に比べると６キロ増えてました）、、。

そうも言ってられないのが、明日のヴィンテージコレクター（２０ｓから５０ｓ）のプライベートパーティー。　サイモンから誘ってもらいました。　楽しみです。　多分アメリカのコレクターに比べると、大したことは事はないと思いますが、、、。

多分、ヨーロッパのヴィンテージとかやったら面白そうですよね。　ヴィクトリアンとか、ジョージアンとか、凄いのがありそう。　話しずれましたね。　ロンドンにいる方は是非行ってみてください。

It’s very thick, solid, beautifully rivetted and it comes with a nice little bag…

レザーはとても厚く、しっかりとしたつくり。

一番端っこにあるリベットが最初はベルトループに引っかかって気になったんですが、慣れると音が「カチャッ」とならないと気がすまないようになります、、、。　あと、小さいコットンバッグがついてきます。

Red Wing shoes

It’s been 13 years since I bought this shoes (the sole was changed recently).　It was massive Redwing boom in Japan (mid/late 90s) and some shops were selling these for $500… It was crazy days.

It’s not as popular as it used to be in Japan but I see many UK shops stock nowadays.

Does it mean that UK is 10-15years behind…?

In fact, denim boom in Japan was little earlier than Redwing boom. Then, street clothing…

Alas, we will see.

Oi Polloi Manchester

少し前にマンチェスターに行った際に、オイポロイというセレクトショップに行ってきました。

I visited Manchester in order to see Oi Polloi the other day.

マンチェスターにいる方は、是非寄ってみて下さい。　っと、いうよりも皆さんもう知ってるかもしれないですね、すごく有名ですから。　そうそう、ディスプレイされている自転車、非売品ではありません。　６０－７０ｓのイギリス製の自転車です。僕はあんまり詳しくはないのですが、すごく手入れされていて、値段も日本で買うよりはすごく良いです。　自転車コレクターの方どうですか？

I made an appointment for my brother’s wish, to make red Airforce 1.

弟が、真っ赤なエアフォースが欲しいとのことなので、ナイキタウンに行ってきました、カスタマイズしに。

The pen (which is standing) was our pantone colour code for me and my brother. It was easy to decide which one, as they had two red leather colours.

マッキーのペンが、僕と弟のパントンコード。　レザーで、赤色は２色しかなかったので、比較的楽に色を決めてから。

Well, the football season just started, and the big shoes were just welcoming customers.

サッカーのシーズンが始まりましたが、ナイキタウンの入り口には大きなサッカースパイクが並んでました。

カスタマイズの値段ですが、約１５０ポンド。　ちょっと高いでしょうか？　普通のフォースが５０ポンドですから。

でも、なんだかんだで、僕も少し欲しくなりました。４週間後が楽しみです。
