London Liming

Few days ago, we went to “London Liming” at Southbank Centre (my space site).

先日、サウスバンクセンターにて、London Liming (っていう、詩を読むギグに。　ラップから、本当に詩を読むだけのものもあり、音楽－アートにも色々あるなと感心しました）に行ってきました。

The ticket was sold out and my wife had an invitation ticket (me being left out…).

Luckily though, Rinse had a spare and I was the happiest man in South London!

Well, event itself, Some artists utilise sophisticated English and I was quite confused with their words…(obviously my English is the problem though) but I enjoyed the atmosphere, seeing talented people, well organised event and enjoyable.

僕らの着いた時点で、チケットは完売。僕の奥さんは、ゲストで入れたんですが、僕はアウト。ラッキーにも、リンスがスペアのチケットを持っていたのでそれで入れましたが、、。

イベント自体ですが、とてもいい雰囲気をを出してました。　ただ、僕の英語力がないからか、アーティストが何を言ってるのかわからない事もあり、ちょっと残念でしたが　（これは自分のせいですね）、、、。

Retaurant in liverpool

I forgot the name of this restaurant, but the lunch menu was very good… I really enjoy it!

レストランの名前を忘れたんですが、リヴァプール中心街にあるレストラン、ランチメニューが手ごろな価格で、そして、すごくおいしかったです。

This desert was the killer!

お勧めはこのプリンのようなケーキ。

Liverpool and Everton

I just passed these two stadiums that are closed to each other.

リバプールでは、二つのスタジアムの前を軽く通りました（次ぎ来た時は、試合が見たいですね）

I don’t know about the history of these two football teams (so please do not take me wrong way for what I’m just about to say!). But isn’t it financially better off to build big stadium and share? So that they both can afford to buy good players, invest in young players, and spend the saved money for something else?

正直、この二つのクラブチーム（エヴァートンとリヴァプール）がどういう歴史を持ったチームか全く知りませんが、どうせなら、ミラノのように合同で大きなスタジアムを作って、シェアしたほうが良いんじゃないかなっと、金銭的に、、、。　っていうか、すごく近くに二つのスタジアムがあるし、維持費もすごくかかると思うんです。シェアした浮いたお金で、いい選手を買えるし、そして、ユースの選手に投資、また、違った使い方もできると思うんですが、、。

I suppose that, as long as the fun (supporters) know where this saved money is going, it makes perfect sense. But the problem is the money usually goes to the owners (well, of course the “part” should go to their pocket, but usually everything goes…)

どのくらいのお金がセーブできて、そのお金がどこで使われているのかというのを、ファンの人たちがちゃんと把握できれば、全く問題はないと思います。　実際は、そのセーブできたお金が、オーナーのポケットの中に入っていくのがほとんどでしょう。　もちろん、少しはいいんですが、そうできないのが常で、、。

いや、やっぱ二つスタジアムを作ったほうがいいかもですね。

Liverpool

I went to Liverpool for Allevol business trip…　I will update here (or at Allevol website) as soon as the product is ready though.

ビジネスミーティングにて、リバプールまで行ってきました。何を作っているかは、まだ秘密ですが、出来上がり次第このブログ　（もしくはウェブ）でアップします。

I have visited few popular places among the travelers, especially around Albert dock (yes, I took picture in front of the Beatles story, classic!).

観光で有名どころを幾つか見て回ったんですが　（特にアルバート　ドックあたり）、とても素晴らしいところでした。

What I thought about the town is that it must have developed a lot for the last decade. Many new building, re-generated areas, still lots of new construction as well. I was skeptical about the fact that they were the European Capital of Culture 2008 (some say New York of Europe… which I’m not sure of, as I’ve never been to NY). After seeing a couple of museums, walking around town, it was apparent that they have potential to be great city in UK.

ただ、街を歩いてみて思ったことが、ここ10年ですごく変わっただろうなっと　（地元の人もここ10年ですごく変わったっと言ってましたが）。

新しい建物、古い家等をぶち壊して作られたエリア、そしてこれから立つであろうたくさんの建物がたくさんあり、すごく活気に溢れた街でした（この不景気のわりにはっと言う意味ですが）。　正直言って、リバプールなんて、ビートルズの故郷、あとはサッカーが少し有名かなっと位にしか思っていませんでしたが、とても良い街だと思いました。

Next time though, I’ll take my time to go to the Beatles story…

次行く時は、ビートルズストーリーにちゃんと行ってきます。

Bratislava

2006年のブラチスラバ　（本来ならブラチスラヴァですね）の中心街。

When I went to Slovakia first time, it was 2000, and I vividly remember it had little bit of Eastern atmosphere.

I was checked properly at the immigration, being asked few questions (not extreme though). And people gave me the look that I don’t belong there.

一番最初にスロバキアに行ったのが、ちょうど2000年。　まだ東の雰囲気が若干残ってました。

空港では、パスポートをしっかりチェックされ、幾つか質問もされました（今では全くありません）。そして、町の人は「ヨソモノがいる」っていう視線をばっちしくれました。

Now they have joined EU (using Euro) and it lost the bit of that feeling that I used to feel. I know it’s not just only how high street brands are conquering the streets, but the losing the value that they hold within the generation. Is it good, or bad thing? I do not know really, Japanese people lost that value 50 years ago (almost 60yrs). I am happy that I was born in this generation but I also believe that we should keep the value that we hold within our blood too.

I think I’m just talking to myself,,,. blah blah blah

今では、スロバキアはユーロに参加し（通貨ユーロも今年から使い始めました）、僕が感じていた雰囲気はあんまり残っていません（東のスロバキアは未だに東の雰囲気が残っています。特にウクライナとの国境なんか）。ハイストリートブランド等が、町を占領しているからその雰囲気がないと言えば、確かにそれだけかもしれません。　ただ、何か大切な物も少しづつ失われつつあるような気もします。このような事が言える立場ではありませんが、日本人もその「何か」を5，60年前に失ったような気もします。　戦後30年、高度成長期というジェネレーションに生まれて、その日本人の持つ日本人らしさ、文化というものを大切にしていきたいと思うこの頃です。

って、ただの独り言ですね、正直何が言いたいのか自分でもわかりません。

Newcastle – Gateshead

There are lots of exciting buildings in Newcastle – Gateshead.

ニューカッスル-ゲイツヘッドにはたくさん新しいモダンな建物があります。

ミレニアムブリッジや、　あと、これはなんだったっけ、、、。

ニューカッスルのキーサイドど呼ばれるこのエリア（実際はゲイツヘッドですが）は、洒落たバー、クラブがたくさんあり（？）週末になると、酔っ払った人たちで溢れかえります、、、

いつか、シドニーにある、本物（っていうか、両方本物ですが）がみて見たいです。
